Product Safety Information

The safe handling of agricultural chemicals is critical for the health of farmers, their families, and the environment. All QUANTENO products must be used strictly as per label instructions and the guidelines below.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

  • Always wear chemical-resistant gloves when handling or mixing any pesticide.
  • Use a face mask or respirator to avoid inhaling spray mist or dust.
  • Wear protective goggles to prevent eye contact with chemicals.
  • Use full-body protective clothing — long-sleeved shirt, long trousers, and closed shoes.
  • Never eat, drink, or smoke while handling pesticides.
  • Wash hands, face, and exposed skin thoroughly with soap and water after application.

Safe Storage

  • Store all products in their original, sealed containers with labels intact.
  • Keep in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
  • Store away from food, feed, seeds, and drinking water.
  • Keep out of reach of children and animals at all times.
  • Do not store near flammable materials or open flames.
  • Lock the storage area when not in use.

Safe Application

  • Read the product label completely before mixing or applying.
  • Use the correct dosage as specified — do not exceed recommended rates.
  • Do not spray on windy days or when rain is expected within 4 hours.
  • Avoid spraying near water bodies, ponds, rivers, or wells.
  • Observe the pre-harvest interval (PHI) specified on the product label before harvesting.
  • Do not apply products toxic to bees during flowering stage of crops.

Disposal of Empty Containers

  • Triple-rinse empty containers with water before disposal.
  • Puncture or crush containers to prevent reuse.
  • Do not burn empty pesticide containers.
  • Dispose of containers at an authorised waste disposal site as per local regulations.
  • Never reuse empty pesticide containers for storing food, water, or other materials.

First Aid in Case of Accidental Exposure

  • Skin contact: Remove contaminated clothing immediately. Wash affected area with soap and water for at least 15 minutes.
  • Eye contact: Flush eyes with clean running water for 15–20 minutes. Seek medical attention immediately.
  • Inhalation: Move the affected person to fresh air immediately. If breathing is difficult, seek emergency medical help.
  • Ingestion: Do NOT induce vomiting. Call the Poison Control Helpline (1800-116-117) or take the person to the nearest hospital immediately with the product label.
